Note: The Tuscan Bistro Bar has closed. The 1250 Hooper Avenue location is now home to B2 Bistro + Bar. This page is a look back at the restaurant.
Who We Were
A Toms River gathering place
The Tuscan Bistro Bar earned its place in Toms River the way the best neighborhood spots do — one good meal and one friendly evening at a time. Sitting along Hooper Avenue across from the Ocean County Mall, it was the kind of place locals knew they could count on, whether for a quiet weeknight dinner, a lively happy hour, or a table full of family on a weekend.
What set it apart was its range. Part Italian kitchen, part American grill, part neighborhood bar, it managed to be a lot of things to a lot of people without losing its warmth. You could come in craving homemade pasta and leave talking about the burger you'd try next time.
What Defined It
More than a meal
Welcoming
An easy, unpretentious place where regulars felt at home and newcomers felt welcome.
Versatile
Italian classics, American comfort food and a full bar, all under one roof.
Community-Minded
A frequent host and supporter of local Ocean County events and gatherings.
A fond farewell
Like many beloved local restaurants, the Tuscan Bistro Bar eventually closed its doors, and the Hooper Avenue space is now home to B2 Bistro + Bar. But for the many people who shared a meal or a celebration here over the years, it remains a happy memory of dining in Toms River. Take a look back at the menu or our catering and events.
